Thomas Minnigan spent 15 years working in education as a math teacher and coach, and now serves as the manager of a psychology practice.
A former Smithtown student (K–8), he brings both professional expertise and a personal connection to the district.
His experience in the classroom, along with his current work supporting youth and families through a psychology practice, has shaped his commitment to high-quality education, strong school-community partnerships, and the well-being of every student.
He understands the importance of supporting teachers, engaging families, and creating environments where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
As the father of four children who attend, and will attend, the Smithtown Central School District, Thomas has a deeply personal investment in the district’s future.
